Weather Alert for Google Glass

Our Severe Weather Alert premiered as one of the very first available “Glassware” apps for Google Glass smart glasses.

Google Glass was a wearable device that displayed information in the wearer’s field of vision. It was intended to be a ubiquitous computer that used voice and motion commands to provide relevant information. Google Glass was discontinued in March 2023.

Weather Alert was an innovative utility which embraced the exciting features and challenging limitations of Google Glass.

Mobile Traffic Apps

In 2008 our developers were anxious to fit into the iPhone story. Our team saw an opportunity to create an easy to use mobile traffic utility iPhone web app. Live traffic data was supplied by a real-time API and unique number-crunching traffic reporting algorithm.

Live travel times are displayed along with average travel times for your routes. Routes are customizable, sortable, and reveal actual travel speeds for different segments. Accident and closure data also appears as they occur.

Over time, the traffic web apps evolved into native IOS and Android apps. Our apps helped thousand of commuters arrive safely, on time in Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis St. Paul, and Madison.

STFU iOS App

STFU was a playful, conceptual iOS app which provided a stealthy means of peer-to-peer communication using haptic taps and silent vibrations. The app was built upon elusive and undocumented MESH networking technology within the native iOS toolkit.

Originally blocked by the App Store staff over naming, they were amazingly convinced to release the app.

The resulting concept was a demonstration of a secure, stable means of communication between mobile devices without requiring cellular or WIFI connectivity.

POI event apps

Conceived at the dawn of the first iPhone apps, our POI event apps were a the first mobile, on-site, and real-time means of navigating Milwaukee Summerfest, Wisconsin State Fair, and Milwaukee Irishfest.

Updated daily, the web app allowed visitors to explore by grounds map, view band schedule at all music stage, browse by genre, explore nearby food and popular restaurants, view admission prices and promotions, find special attractions, ADA access points, family activities, ATMs, restrooms and more.

Milwaukee’s Summerfest Map was designated an Apple Staff Pick in June of 2008.
